Foundation within the first year of establishment.
- Roy Hall Football Skills Camp empowered over 300 youths grades 9th-12th understand
the importance of life skills and learn the fundamentals of football.
- Partnership with M/I Homes to help raise funds for RHFSC through the power of networking.
- Featured with well renowned African American author Omar Tyree in partnership with M/I
Homes Networking Event.
- James Cotton’s 1st Annual Tailgate Party and Fiesta Bowl Party at Sequoia Pro Bowl
Lanes for underprivileged and at-risk-youths to attend Summer Camps in 2009.
- The BUCK-ICON Foundation was featured on Columbus Good Day Live Morning Show (Channel 4).
- The BUCK-ICON Foundation was featured on Buckeye Football Fever Live to promote
1st Annual Tailgate Party and Fiesta Bowl Party.
- Partnership with Columbus Coalition Against Family Violence to provide positive
influences, and speakers for their after school programming.
- Partnership with the Diversity Enhancement Program from the James Cancer Hospital
to provide Cancer Awareness materials for all events.
- Featured in the African American Alumni Society Newsletter being recognized in
Member Spotlight.
- Partnership with Columbus Public Schools PALS Program providing motivation, and
inspiration to teenagers that have been suspended from their school.
- Keynote speaker for the Big Fish Golf outing, Topic: Commitment, Discipline, and Teamwork
- Keynote Speaker for the Tabernacle Baptist Church, Topic: Mind, Body, Soul, and Spirit.
- Donated memorabilia to help other civic organizations raise funds: Columbus Realtors
Foundations, Aetna, Matthew Downs Memorial, Buckeye Cruise for Cancer, Dale Memorial,
and Johnstown Athletic Boosters.
- Partnership with the 2nd & Seven Foundation to help promote literacy in elementary schools.
- Keynote Speaker for the Gateway 2 Opportunity Youth Foundation, Topic: Commitment, Respect,
Discipline, and Faith.
- Featured on Sports Time Ohio "All Bets Are Off" show to share the mission and vision of
the BUCK-ICON Foundation.
- James Cotton was recognized as "Educator of the Month" by the National Association
of Insurance and Financial Planners.
